about

In the ongoing photographic series Flock, I seek to capture a range of abstract
associations, from the ephemeral nature of man, to his search for meaning. In my
compositions, I juxtapose groups of people with architecture or natural scenes. The
images are usually diptychs or triptychs and are printed in large scale.

Using multiple panels and a low point of perspective, I intentionally create the feel of a
theatrical set where a single moment has been suspended – and into which the viewer
can almost step. Other devices such as long exposures and color are selectively used to
enhance the viewer’s feeling of being somewhere between past and present.
